The Position

OpenTable’s Restaurant Sales & Services teams are dedicated to improving restaurants’ revenue potential by utilising best-in-brand front-of-house management and online reservation technology. We are looking for a strategic-minded, action-oriented Sales Development Representative to join our team. You will be part of a team of committed, passionate, and hardworking sales professionals focused on ensuring OpenTable's restaurant customers’ success and our dining customers’ enjoyment.

In this role, you will:

  • Generate sales leads; assist with sales prospecting on the phone to schedule appointments for Account Executives in your region.
  • Implement lead generation programs as developed by the Restaurant Marketing team.
  • Craft and distribute sales messages to restaurant prospects using traditional mailings and targeted email marketing.
  • Provide general sales support to sales teams; ensure lead hand-offs to Account Executives are successful and exceed customer expectations; respond to requests from prospects for additional product information.
  • Keep management advised of all activity, including timely preparation of reports.
  • Some travel is required for training, market research and sales initiatives, and for organizing, preparing for and attending regional trade shows.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Speak fluent German to a native level proficiency (Italian language skills are highly desirable but not essential).
  • Successful telesales or call-center track record with a history of exceeding objectives.
  • Customer-first mindset with the ability to nurture trust and confidence with customers.
  • Ability to understand and resolve current and future business needs; willingness to go above and beyond to ensure customer happiness.
  • Continuous improvement mindset; seek opportunities to improve service, follow through, solicit and apply feedback, and build positive relations.
