Role Overview

We are seeking a Lifecycle Marketing Specialist to support the development, execution, and optimization of cross‑channel lifecycle marketing programs across email and in‑app messaging. This role will primarily own lifecycle execution and orchestration across Marketo and Pendo, helping create scalable customer journeys that drive activation, feature adoption, retention, expansion, and customer engagement throughout the lifecycle. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience building lifecycle programs across both marketing automation and in‑app engagement platforms, with a strong operational and analytical mindset.

This position will partner closely with Marketing, RevOps, SFDC Operations, Product Marketing, and cross‑functional stakeholders to create coordinated customer experiences that improve engagement and business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lifecycle Strategy & Cross‑Channel Orchestration
    • Build and manage cross‑channel lifecycle programs across onboarding, adoption, expansion, retention, and winback journeys.
    • Develop scalable customer journeys leveraging email and in‑app messaging across Marketo and Pendo.
    • Build automated lifecycle strategies including audience segmentation, behavioral triggers, cadence, suppression logic, and personalization.
    • Create coordinated customer experiences across platforms including Marketo, Pendo, Salesforce, and additional lifecycle engagement tools.
    • Identify opportunities to improve lifecycle engagement and conversion through multi‑channel orchestration and journey optimization.
    • Support future lifecycle channel expansion opportunities including SMS and additional customer engagement platforms.
  • Marketing Automation & Operations
    • Build and maintain lifecycle programs, nurture campaigns, and automated journeys in Marketo.
    • Build and manage in‑app messaging experiences, targeting, and customer engagement campaigns in Pendo.
    • Validate audience logic, behavioral triggers, and lifecycle program structure to ensure campaigns are scalable and operationally sound.
    • Partner with RevOps and SFDC Operations to define data requirements, field mappings, and trigger dependencies needed to support lifecycle automation.
    • Troubleshoot data flow and sync issues impacting campaign execution across systems such as SFDC, Marketo, Pendo, SendGrid, and other lifecycle tools.
    • Support the evolution of scalable lifecycle infrastructure and automation best practices.
  • Optimization & Growth
    • Continuously audit and optimize lifecycle programs to improve activation, feature adoption, retention, and expansion outcomes.
    • Support A/B testing strategies across messaging, timing, targeting, channel mix, and journey structure.
    • Monitor lifecycle performance and identify opportunities to improve engagement, conversion, and customer progression throughout the funnel.
    • Collaborate with RevOps to support existing reporting, expand reporting, performance visibility, and measurement frameworks.
    • Help identify new lifecycle growth opportunities through customer behavior analysis and journey performance insights.
  • Process Improvement & QA
    • Improve campaign workflows, templates, and QA processes to reduce manual effort and increase speed‑to‑launch.
    • Leverage AI tools and automation workflows to streamline campaign execution, QA, link validation, and campaign accuracy.
    • Help standardize lifecycle documentation, program structures, and operational processes for scalability.
    • Ensure campaigns meet brand, legal, compliance, and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • 2–5+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing, CRM marketing, marketing automation, growth marketing, or customer engagement.
  • Hands‑on experience with Marketo required.
  • Experience working within Pendo or similar in‑app engagement/customer journey platforms required.
  • Experience building automated nurture and lifecycle programs across multiple customer touchpoints.
  • Familiarity with customer journey orchestration and cross‑channel engagement strategies.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce (SFDC) and marketing operations workflows.
  • Experience working with behavioral triggers, segmentation, suppression logic, and customer journeys.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience using lifecycle performance data to optimize engagement and conversion.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable collaborating cross‑functionally with Marketing, RevOps, Product Marketing, and Operations teams.
  • Experience with additional tools such as SendGrid, Groove, or SMS platforms is a plus.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools or automation workflows to improve marketing execution is a plus.

The expected range of compensation for this position based in Toronto, Canada, is $38-$42 CAD / hour. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a compensation range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required.
