The Technical Officer – Biorepository plays a key role in supporting researchers and research infrastructure as part of the multidisciplinary Biospecimen Services Team, within the Mark Wainwright Analytical Centre. The position works with key stakeholders across faculties and schools to ensure the efficient delivery of biorepository services.
The position provides support for all aspects of biospecimen collection, preparation, storage and distribution with oversight of the biospecimen processing laboratories, associated cold storage infrastructure and biospecimen database. The Technical Officer – Biorepository provides technical assistance to a range of research projects for key stakeholders across the UNSW. The role reports to the Manager of Biospecimen Services and has no direct reports.
