Our client is seeking a Technical Sales Support Engineer with a mechanical bias to provide high-quality technical support to both customers and the internal sales team. This position focuses on supporting a wide range of automation and temperature-control products, contributing to commercial growth through training, product promotion, and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver technical support to customers via phone and email
  • Process requests for special product variations
  • Analyse and report on product returns
  • Contribute to new product development proposals
  • Conduct market and competitor product analysis
  • Support the sales team with customer visits and application development
  • Manage product lifecycles including training, new product introductions, and discontinued product updates

Qualifications

  • Degree, HNC, or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Strong communication skills (phone and email)
  • Logical, methodical problem-solver with excellent organisational skills and record-keeping
  • Confident in presenting technical topics in person and via webinars
  • Experience working in an engineering environment
  • Practical hands-on testing and diagnostic experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines
  • Additional hands-on testing/diagnostic experience
  • Exposure to automation systems or system design
  • Previous work in Technical Sales Support or applications engineering
