An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced PHP (Laravel) & VueJS Developer to join a growing digital team. This is a fully remote role (UK-based) working on a variety of projects, from custom Laravel applications to WordPress websites and integrations. We are looking for a developer with strong full-stack experience who can confidently deliver scalable, secure, and user-friendly applications. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ Laravel experience, a strong front-end background with Vue.js and TypeScript, and solid experience in WordPress custom theme and plugin development.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimise web applications using Laravel and Vue.js
- Build and customise WordPress themes and plugins, including WooCommerce integration
- Manage cloud deployments (AWS/DigitalOcean) and server configuration (Apache/Nginx)
- Maintain version control and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub workflows
- Design and maintain relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
- Implement best practices for security and performance
Skills & Experience Required
- 3+ years’ commercial experience with Laravel (PHP 8.1+)
- 2+ years with Vue.js (Composition API, TypeScript)
- 2+ years WordPress development (themes, plugins, WooCommerce)
- Experience managing cloud hosting, deployments, and SSL/domain configuration
- Git/GitHub for version control & CI/CD
Desirable (nice-to-have)
- Redis/Memcached caching strategies
- Docker containerisation
- Payment gateway integrations (Stripe, PayPal)
- WebSocket/Broadcasting for real-time features
