Our client is an established and growing specialist within the industrial robotics and automation sector, supplying robotic systems, spare parts and associated services to customers across the UK and internationally. With over 20 years in the industry, they've built a strong reputation for cost-effective, expert solutions across a wide range of sectors.

As the business continues to grow, they are now looking to appoint a Finance Assistant to support the day-to-day financial operations of the company.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the early stages of their finance career looking to gain broad, hands-on experience within a growing commercial business. Working closely with the wider team, you'll support a variety of day-to-day accounting and finance activities, helping ensure financial information is accurate, organised and processed efficiently.

The role would suit either someone with 1–2 years of commercial finance/accounts experience, or an individual with a relevant educational background looking to establish a career within finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the day-to-day running of the finance function
  • Processing purchase and sales invoices
  • Maintaining accurate financial records
  • Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Supporting credit control and following up outstanding payments
  • Processing and reconciling supplier statements
  • Assisting with bank and account reconciliations
  • Entering and maintaining financial information within QuickBooks
  • Supporting payment runs and general transaction processing
  • Assisting with expense processing and administration
  • Helping prepare financial information and reports for management
  • Liaising with suppliers, customers and colleagues on finance queries

About You

  • Around 1–2 years' experience in an accounts, finance or similar commercial role, or a relevant educational background
  • A good understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Confidence with Microsoft Excel and standard office applications
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Previous QuickBooks experience is advantageous but not essential
