Are you an experienced Head of Design looking to shape the creative direction of award-winning eCommerce brands? This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing digital agency with a strong reputation across fashion, luxury, food, homeware, and charity sectors. As Head of Design, you'll lead a talented creative team, deliver outstanding digital experiences, and play a key role in both client and internal innovation.
About the Role
- Lead the design function across client and internal projects
- Oversee UX/UI for Magento-based eCommerce websites and other digital platforms
- Create user-focused, commercially effective design solutions
- Guide the development of wireframes, user flows, prototypes and high-fidelity visuals
- Develop and maintain design systems and style guides
- Manage and mentor a team of designers and freelancers
- Work closely with developers and project managers to bring designs to life
- Contribute to new business proposals and marketing initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- 12+ years in digital design, including 4+ years in an agency environment
- Proven portfolio of UX/UI work for eCommerce platforms
- Advanced skills in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
- Understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and performance optimisation
- Experience managing creative teams and driving quality across projects
- Excellent communication and client-facing presentation skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile agency setting
- Knowledge of Magento and eCommerce design principles
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Magento 2 or Adobe Commerce
- Familiarity with CRO and A/B testing tools
- Motion design skills (e.g. After Effects, Lottie)
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript
- Experience creating brand identities and visual systems
