Over the next five years, Openreach will invest close to £1bn in delivering government-funded and co-funded fibre infrastructure, supporting the rollout of gigabit connectivity to hundreds of thousands of rural homes and businesses under a national framework agreement with Building Digital UK.

This represents one of the UK's most complex digital infrastructure programmes, spanning multiple regions and delivery models.

The Gigabit Finance Manager plays a key role in supporting this nationally significant programme, providing high-quality financial and commercial insight to senior stakeholders.

The role focuses on enabling informed investment decisions, maintaining robust financial controls and driving improvements in commercial performance and delivery across a complex, multi-year government-funded portfolio.

  • Driving Improvement
  • Identify and assess financial risks and opportunities, working with delivery teams to develop and implement improvement plans that enhance programme performance.
