How will you add value to the OpenPayd journey?
- Translate regulatory and compliance requirements into clear business rules, validation frameworks, and system behaviours.
- Define structured mappings between regulatory obligations and system‑level controls.
- Analyse APIs and internal services to ensure compliance requirements are enforced at payload and workflow level.
- Define field‑level validation logic for account data, beneficiary information, transaction metadata, and payment references.
- Structure exception handling and rejection logic across payment and account‑related workflows.
- Map end‑to‑end process flows (including exception and control points) to ensure regulatory coverage.
- Support implementation of safeguarding, reconciliation, and liquidity‑related control mechanisms within payment flows.
- Conduct impact analysis when regulatory or scheme rules change and document required system updates.
- Identify gaps or weaknesses in existing control frameworks and propose structured remediation.
- Maintain clear, structured documentation to support audit readiness and governance standards.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Experience translating regulatory or compliance requirements into system rules and technical artefacts.
- Familiarity with payment schemes (SEPA, SWIFT, FPS or equivalent).
- Ability to analyse API request/response structures and define validation logic.
- Strong process modelling capability, especially around control and exception flows.
- Experience working cross‑functionally with Compliance, Engineering, Product, and Operations teams.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical mindset.
- Strong SQL knowledge.
