Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Job Purpose: To ensure the efficient and accurate handling, storage, and dispatch of goods while maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness, and teamwork within the warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive working environment.
  • Complete training on company procedures to perform duties effectively and safely.
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the warehouse and surrounding areas.
  • Accurately prepare and dispatch customer orders in a timely manner, ensuring products are in good, clean condition.
  • In the absence of the manager, ensure all orders are collected daily by couriers.
  • Check and correctly receipt goods into stock, signing delivery paperwork and noting any damages or shortages.
  • Safely load and unload vehicles, ensuring pallet stacks are secure and free from hazards.
  • Operate fork trucks safely and ensure they are charged at the end of each day.
  • Assist with mixing and blending of seed according to production instructions, under supervision until fully trained.
  • Operate the seed cleaning plant under supervision until fully trained.
  • Safeguard all equipment, keeping it clean and reporting any defects or faults promptly.
  • Ensure visitors and contractors sign in and complete required paperwork at reception.
  • Communicate effectively with the office team and follow instructions accurately.
  • Identify and report opportunities for process improvements.
  • Handle returns accurately in line with company procedures.
  • Monitor stock levels and maintain adequate quantities in picking locations.
  • Assist with biannual stocktakes, including preparation activities.
  • To carry out any other duties as requested by manager.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment (preferred but not essential).
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks safely.
  • Forklift license (desirable but training can be provided).
  • Basic IT skills for stock management systems.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position – 40 hours per week (30 mins unpaid break + 15 min paid break).
  • Shifts available: 06:00-14:30 and 09:30-18:00.
  • Requires manual handling and operation of machinery.
  • PPE provided and adherence to health and safety standards required.
  • Overtime will be required in our busy periods.
