The People Coordinator provides vital support to the People team, helping to keep day-to-day processes running smoothly. Focussing on maintaining accurate employee records, supporting with onboarding and off-boarding administration, and ensuring documents and systems are kept up to date, the People Coordinator is often the first point of contact for routine queries, signposting employees to the right information or escalating where needed. By assisting the People Business Partners, the role helps deliver an efficient and organised service, contributing to a positive employee experience across the business.
Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with Opencast's quality, environmental, and information security policies and procedures, as well as applicable customer policies, standards, and procedures while working on client.
To succeed as a People Coordinator, you will need experience of working in a fast-paced complex environment with an in-depth knowledge of people policies and processes. Responsibilities include:
- Being the first point of contact for employee queries, providing clear advice and support on people policies and processes across the full employee lifecycle.
- Coordinating the onboarding process, ensuring new hires are set up for success with the right tools, systems, and equipment.
- Leading new starter calls and delivering a warm and professional first impression.
- Managing the off-boarding process, ensuring that leavers have a smooth, respectful, and well-coordinated experience.
- Supporting the payroll process by providing timely and accurate employee data to managers and the People team.
- Preparing and issuing key documentation, including letters and reports, with accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail.
