Overview
Opencast is a growing tech consultancy that creates user-centred solutions with purpose for clients in government and business. We’re looking for an experienced Client Relationship Director to join our team on a 12 Month FTC. You’ll be responsible for strategically growing and managing key client accounts, working with our existing team to nurture and expand the business, and delivering purposeful impact for clients. You can work remotely with regular travel to our Newcastle HQ and client sites.
What you\’ll do
- Build networks and win new work within accounts, meeting or exceeding growth targets
- Create, track, maintain and surface key client business targets and goals
- Present and make proposals, including pricing, rate cards and time and materials quotes
- Generate and assess new opportunities within accounts and qualify them in or out
- Collaborate with marketing to highlight case studies and potential promotional activity with clients
- Work with Corporate Development to provide informed new business drives
- Assist with new prospects or lead on an existing client bid management
- Forecast demand via pipeline, publish pipeline, and feed pipeline updates
- Coordinate with Recruitment for advance hiring and innovation team preparation
Client relationships and management
- Form trusted long-term relationships with key client stakeholders
- Promote the work we do and the services we offer with clients, peers and senior colleagues
- Get purchase orders, scopes of work and legal documents in place and stored safely; manage processes in Salesforce and Key Account Management software
- Ensure adherence to contractual commitments (contractual SLAs / KPIs)
- Represent Opencast values across our clients
- Liaise with clients and be their voice in our organisation
- Act as a point of escalation for client account risks & issues
- Work with point people for account reporting and demonstrating impact to the client
- Ensure we deliver the people and projects we promised
- Coordinate with People Allocation and Delivery Management Office to mobilise consultants onto the client
- Brief internal teams on new opportunity requirements
- Ensure timely onboarding of our people to client accounts
- Review monthly billing reports for accuracy
- Support development and motivation of our people, including decisions on training, re-skilling, rotation and 1-2-1 meetings
- Act as a second-level contact if the People team or Service Leads aren’t available; ensure the client remains informed and not negatively affected

- Can be the client’s voice in our organisation and work within a client-centric culture
- Improve client experiences by iterating and applying a client experience roadmap
- Are strategic in developing relationships and opportunities within existing client accounts
- Work well with Service Leads to ensure work is delivered to a high standard
- Maximise revenue and profitability of accounts while maintaining positive relationships
- Clearly communicate health, future goals, plans and revenue generation of your accounts
- Drive new business, assist with new prospects and lead bid management
- Know how to negotiate commercial contracts and adhere to contractual and compliance commitments

Where you’ll work
Your working time will be split between multiple locations, including our HQ and hub locations, or home. Travel is part of life at Opencast and will be arranged to meet work and team requirements.
