The role of a People Experience Partner (PEEP) is to be the primary career partner for a cohort of Opencast consultants, providing 121 coaching, development support, and guidance on progression and employability. PEEPs build trusted relationships with consultants, helping them navigate their careers while enabling high performance, engagement, and wellbeing. They deliver People Success practices consistently and contribute to Consultant Capability Operations through contribution to key consultant processes, such as onboarding, project allocations and performance reviews.
By using the information you know about the people you support, you’ll be a catalyst for positive change. You’ll collaborate with colleagues in other teams to get immediate and also longer-term solutions for supporting people. You’ll also spend a lot of time with Leaders in our business, ensuring we are partnering with them to achieve the best people experience possible. Our people will feel supported and connected to Opencast through the awesome work and initiatives you will put in place.
Essential experience:- Working in a people-focused role. You’ll have a curious nature and be passionate about learning about people.
- Dealing with personal and potentially sensitive information.
- Handling challenging employee relations conversations or situations.
- Great listening skills - you’ll truly understand the wants and needs of people and can push for any changes.
- Problem solving skills - you might not be an expert in a technology or a business area, but you’ll know where to find the answers.
- Building relationships with stakeholders.
- Coaching and mentoring, holding one-to-one meetings and check-ins with people to support their different needs.
- A background or experience in a people or HR advisory/business partner related role.
- Experience managing people in any environment.
- A coaching qualification or experience of coaching others.
- Learning and development.
Opencast is committed to supporting the learning and development of all our people. In the People experience team everyone has been enrolled onto a Level 5 Apprenticeship qualification in Coaching. If the successful candidate doesn’t have a similar qualification already, this course is something we would like you to complete within your first two years of employment.
Salary:Salary band for People Experience Partner (Level 2 - £34k-£40k).

Our approach is a mixture of working from our HQ and hub locations, or home, depending on the needs of your work. You must be located within 40 miles of our Newcastle HQ or one of our Hubs in Edinburgh, Glasgow or London and be happy to travel to any of our offices when required.
