At Open, we exist because we believe insurance doesn’t have to be complicated or costly. We’re building modern, intuitive technology that makes insurance experiences simple for customers and powerful for the brands who partner with us. Open is a product-led company backed by an established global platform and experienced team in Australia, while continuing to scale our UK product capability locally.
Our Product Managers:
- Own the full lifecycle of key products - from strategy and roadmap through to execution
- Lead innovation and regularly evaluate and deliver new, novel ideas
- Deeply empathise with customers and partners, representing their needs within squads
As a Product Manager at Open, you’ll have the autonomy to drive outsized impact and help shape the future of our sales and growth engine in the UK, while working closely with a globally connected product team.
What you’ll do:
We’re looking for a tenacious, ambitious Product Manager excited to transform Open’s sales experience and unlock our next phase of UK growth. In this role, you’ll lead a cross-functional squad of designers, engineers and data specialists to reimagine how customers and partners engage with Open’s sales journeys - leveraging best-in-class third-party technologies alongside Open’s proprietary platform. You’ll do this by:
- Developing a deep understanding of the needs of UK partners and their customers, alongside the commercial models that make those partnerships work
- Owning and evolving a balanced portfolio of growth initiatives and more transformational product enhancements, working from quarterly goals through to day-to-day delivery
- Partnering closely with Growth and Commercial teams to identify opportunities across the UK market
- Leading story elaboration with designers and senior engineers, balancing feasibility, desirability and impact
- Ensuring the platform operates within relevant regulatory and compliance requirements
- Obsessing over product analytics that measure impact and inform direction
You will report directly to Open’s Principal Product Manager.
What you’ll bring:
- 3+ years’ experience in digital, data or transformation roles within a product-led scale-up or top-tier consultancy
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Proven experience working closely with designers, engineers and data specialists
- A strong track record of defining product strategy and delivering outcomes at pace
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders
- Experience developing and using product analytics to guide decisions
This role is great for:
- People who want to use their strengths in problem solving to deliver lasting customer and commercial impact.
- People passionate about technology, data and user experience that want to move into product management.
This role is less likely to be for you if:
- You are uncomfortable with ambiguity and navigating different stakeholder needs when setting a product strategy and roadmap.
- You are not curious about personally building new solutions and experiences.
Role location:
This role will be hybrid, with 3+ days a week in London at our Marylebone office.

More about us:
Insurance is one of the world's least digitally mature industries: confusing, paper-based and heavily intermediated. We launched in Australia in 2016 to digitise the entire process, opened our London office in 2022 and our Manchester office this year. We're a Certified B Corporation with a team across the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
Diverse perspectives and lived experiences make us better at what we do. If your CV doesn't tick every box, apply anyway. Let us know if you need any adjustments through the process and we'll make it work.
Open is for builders - people who are intellectually curious, courageous and reject the idea that 'it can't be done'. If that sounds like you, apply and let's build the future of insurance together.
