Role Purpose
We are seeking a high-caliber SEO Partner-level freelancer to support with the organic strategy for a leading international travel brand. This is a senior leadership position responsible for translating a high-level search vision into actionable, best-in-class strategies that work across traditional search and AI-driven environments.

The client is a major international travel business with a unique model powered by over 1,600 travel consultants.
The Challenge
- Rapidly shifting search landscapes due to AI dominance and the need to consolidate premium leisure offerings onto a single authoritative domain.
The Opportunity
- Leveraging a massive internal network of experts to drive an E‑E‑A‑T strategy that leapfrogs generic competitors.
Core Responsibilities
- Strategic Integration: Lead the integrated SEO and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) strategy, ensuring the brand remains visible in AI snapshots and LLM environments like ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews.
- Client Stewardship: Act as the primary strategic advisor for senior stakeholders, simplifying complex technical shifts into clear, commercial narratives.
- Quality Assurance: Take a hands‑on approach to ensure that strategic thinking is accurately reflected in every technical implementation and content piece.
- Workstream Management: Oversight of four interconnected workstreams: Technical Foundations, Content Strategy, Authority Building, and AI‑led Reporting.
Immediate 12‑Month Roadmap
- Phase 1 (Foundations): Technical audits, Core Web Vitals optimisation, and establishing SEO tracking infrastructure.
- Phase 2 (Activation): Delivering SEO training to the 1,600+ consultants and launching a push of 100+ optimised content pieces.
- Phase 3 (Future‑Proofing): Optimising FAQs for AI search features and introducing semantic markup.
- Phase 4 (Expansion): Scaling top‑performing content for international rollout.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: 6‑8+ years of organic search experience with a proven track record in the travel sector or a comparable high‑volume vertical.
- Technical & GEO Proficiency: Deep expertise in technical SEO, content strategy, and digital PR, with early adoption of GEO and AI-driven platforms.
- Commercial Mindset: Ability to manage SEO financial reporting and link search performance directly to revenue growth (forecasting a ÂŁ2.5M revenue uplift for this client).
- Communication: Mastery of storytelling—translating technical data into compelling insights for non‑technical stakeholders.

- Engagement: Ongoing retainer-based contract.
