The Senior/PR Manager will lead the development and execution of innovative PR strategies that align with our clients' goals. This role requires a seasoned earned media expert who is experienced at collaborating with clients, can optimise campaigns for performance, and stay ahead of earned media trends to enhance brand visibility authentically. You will play an integral role in shaping our client's online and print presence, managing clients' reputation and creating compelling press releases that drive results through earned media. This role involves collaborating with various internal teams including SEO, content, organic social, and paid media as well as stakeholders to drive our clients' success. You will report to the Head of PR and work closely with client services.
Role Responsibilities
- Work with the Senior Partner to set the strategy and manage the delivery of PR services, including ideation, planning, writing press releases, media relations and measurement for a portfolio of clients.
- Develop innovative link-earning ideation processes and create best practices.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with journalists, bloggers, influencers & website editors.
- Work collaboratively with your clients to understand their needs, developing strong working relationships and driving PR plans forwards.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key media and stakeholders.
- Find opportunities to grow the scale of our activity and other relevant services.
- Be an evangelist for our PR product in front of clients, pitching for new business and at appropriate industry / training events.
- Identify appropriate reactive opportunities in line with trending themes and moments.
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will
- 4+ years of experience with a proven track record of delivering successful PR activity for a variety of brands.
- Have an in-depth understanding of the news agenda and how to spot editorial opportunities for clients both proactively and reactively.
- Develop a deep understanding of clients' businesses and actively seek opportunities to generate PR opportunities.
- Have excellent writing and editing skills and a proven track record of producing editorial copy in the form of press releases.
- Have good awareness and competence across media and social outlets to demonstrate understanding of where and how to best reach target audiences.
- Understand the importance of tracking coverage and have experience working with platforms such as Cision.
- A confident and professional communicator, both internally and with clients.
- A positive, flexible, can-do attitude.
- Be able to coordinate and prioritise a number of tasks at the same time.
- Self-motivated and proactive.
- Confident, approachable, and able to build strong relationships.
- Driven to always improve with a curious mind and an entrepreneurial spirit.
Desirable Qualifications And Experience
- Agency experience is preferred.
- Experience in media monitoring tools like Cision.
- Understanding of celebrity management, negotiation and contracting.
- Be able to work ideation through to execution (pitches included).
- Strategic thinker with experience of helping brands grow in earned media.
- Understanding of PR tactics and social/brands.
- Client servicing & stakeholder management skills.
- Experience and awareness of LLMs and its impact on the PR industry.
