The Opportunity
Are you a visionary content leader who can orchestrate complex marketing ecosystems into unified, business-winning strategies? Open Partners is looking for a Head of Content to take ultimate strategic and commercial ownership of our content ecosystem. In this role, you will lead our content capabilities as a single, high-performing solution, serving as a senior client lead and creative integrator to radically increase client discoverability across modern platforms. You will drive the crossover across four core pillars: PR, Editorial/Copywriting, Social Content Production, and On-Site Experiences.
Your Role & Responsibilities
- Commercial & Pitch Leadership: Manage the overall commercial health, revenue targets, and contract retention for the content division. You will act as the lead champion for the Content product, headlining new business pitches and crafting compelling strategic narratives for senior stakeholders.
- Cross‑Channel Orchestration: Conceive and champion integrated, platform‑agnostic campaign concepts that live fluidly across earned, owned, and paid media.
- Next‑Gen Discoverability: Build macro content strategies optimised for traditional search layouts, Earned PR channels, and modern AI answer engines via Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO).
- Co‑Intelligent Automation: Partner with the Head of the AI Centre of Excellence to systematically operationalise co‑intelligent content workflows and turn abstract brand strategy into machine‑ready prompt frameworks.
- Proposition Integration: Lead active working groups across Media, Creative, and Data to establish unified cause‑and‑effect frameworks that champion our Search and Social propositions.
What Success Looks Like in 6 Months
- Trusted Partnerships: You have built deep, trusted client relationships and are recognized as a knowledgeable, indispensable partner.
- Centralised Operations: You have established a consistent operational system across all four core content pillars.
- Framework Embedding: You have successfully rolled out the Connected Content Strategy framework across flagship agency accounts.
- Co‑Intelligent Workforce: Your delivery teams are working co‑intelligently with a blended Human Intelligence (HI) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) workflow.
What You’ll Bring
- Strategic Marketing Mastery: 8+ years of experience with a proven track record of senior leadership positions (ideally agency‑side), demonstrating deep expertise in driving brand discoverability.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong financial literacy with experience acting as the guardian of commercial performance, managing divisional budgets, and protecting functional profit margins.
- AI Fluency & Innovation: Exceptional literacy in advanced AI‑enabled copy and text variants, with the ability to design enterprise‑grade prompt engines and guide distributed specialist teams.
- Extreme Ownership: Master‑level capability to craft and deliver compelling, future‑focused narratives to board‑level clients while resolving structural conflicts and managing complex delivery workflows.
