The Opportunity

Are you a master translator of data who can turn complex measurement strategies into clear, actionable roadmaps that clients love to use? Open Partners is looking for a Data Senior Partner to own the translation of data strategy into delivery. This critical role bridges the gap between our high-level measurement thinking and client‑facing execution. Sitting alongside our engineering capability, you will be the near‑term priority as we rebuild this part of our team, turning technical concepts into work that internal teams and clients understand, adopt, and act on.

Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Strategy Translation & Execution: Take high‑level data strategies, concepts, and plans, and turn them into highly structured, clear delivery plans.
  • Client‑Facing Delivery: Lead live data and measurement projects, acting as the primary face of data delivery for clients and ensuring they fully understand the value of what is being delivered.
  • Technical Translation: Act as the strategic bridge between our technical engineering team and non‑technical stakeholders, bringing complex data concepts to life in a way that is clear and compelling.
  • Commercial Partner Funding: Proactively identify and secure funding opportunities from key platform partners including Google, Meta, and Amazon.
  • Engineering Collaboration: Partner closely with the Data Centre of Excellence engineering team, clearly briefing in technical requirements without needing to write the code yourself.
  • Quality & Governance: Act as the senior escalation point for clients on data delivery, reducing project drift and establishing clear definitions of done.

What Success Looks Like

  • Commercial Impact: In your first year, your role is cost‑neutral through partner funding secured. By year two, you have established the role as a profit centre.
  • Operational Alignment: You have drastically reduced project drift and established clear, agreed‑upon definitions of done across all live data and measurement work.
  • Client Advocacy: Client and internal teams can clearly articulate what they are getting from our data work and why it directly impacts their business.

What You’ll Bring

  • Delivery Track Record: Proven experience translating high‑level data strategy or complex measurement concepts into successful delivery plans.
  • Outstanding Communication: The ability to present complex technical, analytical, or data‑led concepts in an engaging and simple way to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Platform & Partner Knowledge: Experience building relationships or a clear strategy to partner with platforms like Google, Meta, and Amazon to secure funding.
  • Conceptual Data Expertise: A solid conceptual understanding of measurement methodologies, attribution, or econometrics, along with a working familiarity with Big Query.
  • Collaborative Leadership: The ability to brief and guide highly technical engineering specialists without needing deep, hands‑on engineering skills yourself.

Bonus Points:

Experience in a data planning, consultancy, or client delivery lead role within an agency, or familiarity with modern conversational analytics platforms like ThoughtSpot.

Our Values & Mindset

At Open Partners, we hire mindset first. If you do not have direct industry experience but possess a fierce growth mindset and transferable analytical skills, we want to hear from you. We hold ourselves to three standards:

  • Smarter: Aim high, train hard, embrace next.
