Situated in the heart of White City, The Broadcaster is a dynamic venue with four floors including a stunning rooftop terrace. As a contemporary pub and dining room, we're all about fresh, seasonal cooking, everything is made from scratch and we’re proud to work with some of the finest suppliers in the UK to deliver bold, delicious, and thoughtful dishes.

We’re looking for an experienced Junior Sous Chef to join our kitchen team and grow into a confident leader, supporting the Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef in the smooth day‑to‑day running of the kitchen. This is a hands‑on role in a fast‑paced and supportive kitchen where standards matter just as much as our team. We’re looking for someone calm under pressure, organised, and reliable, with a genuine passion for great food and a desire to develop their leadership skills.

You’ll have solid experience in quality kitchens, ideally at 2 Rosette level or similar, and a real love for well‑executed British gastro‑pub food made from scratch with care and attention to detail. You’ll be confident with core classical techniques and take pride in consistency, flavour, and presentation.

You’ll work closely with the senior kitchen team on prep, service, and menu development, and be expected to step up and take responsibility when needed, helping to keep the team focused, positive, and supported during busy services. We’re looking for someone who understands the importance of teamwork and communication, and who enjoys being part of a kitchen that works closely together to deliver consistently excellent food and service. You’ll also work closely with the front‑of‑house team to ensure smooth service and a great guest experience from start to finish.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience in quality kitchens (ideally 2 Rosette level or similar)
  • Be confident on the pass and supporting service in a senior role
  • Have a passion for British gastro‑pub cuisine and seasonal cooking
  • Be calm, organised, and reliable under pressure
  • Be keen to learn, develop, and grow into a stronger leadership role
  • Take pride in high standards of food, presentation, and hygiene
  • Support senior chefs with menu prep and development ideas
