At The Broadcaster, our bar sits at the heart of the guest experience. From terrace drinks in the sun to large-scale events, busy dining services and late-night cocktails, our bars support every moment of the day. We’re looking for a Bar Manager who enjoys leading from the front. Someone who can build confident teams, deliver great service, and keep operations running smoothly across a dynamic environment.

The Broadcaster operates six internal bars, a seasonal terrace bar, and supports a wide range of private and external events. This role requires someone who thrives in that variety, comfortable moving between service leadership, team development, and the operational detail that keeps everything working behind the scenes. Some services will feel fast and high-energy, others more measured. The right person understands how to manage that; keeping teams engaged, standards high, and wage costs controlled.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Leading the Bar Team
  • Building a confident, motivated team that delivers warm, efficient service
  • Coaching bartenders to grow their product knowledge, service style, and confidence on the floor
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development of the bar team
  • Creating a positive, organised environment where teams know what great looks like
  • Delivering Excellent Service
  • Leading busy services from the floor and supporting the team when the pressure rises
  • Ensuring bar service supports both the restaurant floor and wider guest experience
  • Understanding that at times the bar functions as a service bar for dining, while remaining visible to guests
  • Maintaining high presentation standards across all bar spaces
  • Managing Multiple Bars & Events
  • Overseeing operations across six internal bars and a seasonal terrace bar
  • Supporting private events, large bookings, and external pop-ups
  • Preparing teams for different service styles, from busy restaurant service to event-led environments
  • Working closely with the wider management team to ensure smooth delivery across the venue
  • Operational Excellence
  • Managing stock control, ordering, deliveries, and stocktakes
  • Monitoring beverage GP and identifying opportunities to improve performance
  • Managing rotas to balance team wellbeing, service levels, and wage targets
  • Ensuring all licensing, health & safety, and compliance standards are upheld
  • Supporting menu launches, product training, and seasonal changes
  • Working as Part of the Leadership Team
  • Collaborating with managers across the restaurant, events, and operations teams
  • Confidently using systems including POS, reservations platforms, and reporting tools
  • Taking responsibility for opening and closing procedures
  • Playing an active role in creating a positive culture within the management team

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience managing busy bar operations in a quality hospitality environment
  • A natural team developer who enjoys coaching and building confidence in others
  • Someone calm and organised who can manage changing levels of demand
  • Strong understanding of bar operations, stock control, and beverage GP
  • Confident running service while maintaining a positive presence on the floor
  • Comfortable working with multiple teams and departments across a large venue
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who cares about great hospitality, enjoys developing people, and takes pride in building a bar team that guests and colleagues trust.

What You’ll Get From Us

  • A supportive management team and opportunities to develop your leadership skills
  • Staff food and refreshments while on shift
  • Group dining discounts across our restaurants
  • An extra day of holiday for each year of service (up to 5 years)
  • The chance to grow within a multi-site hospitality group

If you enjoy building strong teams, delivering great service, and being part of a venue where bars, dining, and events all come together, we’d love to hear from you.
