Job Summary
Combining impeccable creative design skills with technical expertise, Lead Graphic Designers work with creative and account teams to deliver the highest possible creative calibre and quality across medical communications. With expertise in translating complex scientific content into compelling narratives, strong storytelling, data visualization and presentation skills, Lead Graphic Designers bring head-turning creative concepts to life.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Advanced PowerPoint skills, with strong expertise in creating and delivering engaging presentations.
- Proven ability to work creatively and effectively in fast-paced, collaborative team environments on live projects.
- Produce scientifically accurate, high quality creative outputs for internal and external clients, accurately and consistently, in a fast paced, timeline driven environment.
- Ensure all work meets corporate and client brand guidelines and quality assurance standards.
- Stay abreast of congress and journal guidelines and creative trends to ensure all products adhere to specification while exceeding expectation.
- Oversee creative integrity of all linked project outputs.
- Competently project manage workload across multiple accounts, clients, and products, while maintaining calibre, quality and accuracy.
- Review and enhance outputs created by internal and client teams.
- Independently provide creative design recommendations to push creative boundaries.
- Participate in account team status meetings.
- Collaborate effectively within and across creative and account teams, to ensure the best possible solutions are delivered efficiently.
- Support Creative Services team through proactive provision of accurate account forecasting needs, and in identification of resourcing solutions, in conjunction with senior team and according to global workflow management protocols.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, as required.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures and best practices.
- Maintain timely and accurate timesheets.
Line Management (optional)
- Provide and oversee the provision of effective line management, supporting the career and personal development of assigned line reports and department members.
- Ensure all line reports and department members undergo performance review and have appropriate objectives and development plans in place.
- Rapidly address under-performance and initiation of active management plans to support individuals, as required.
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
- Excellent technical, design, presentation, and reviewing skills with strong attention to detail, proven through extensive experience in a creative role in medical communications.
- Proven experience in collaborating with creative and account teams to bring presentations to life, beautifully and efficiently.
- Proven experience in delivering head-turning creative outputs across media including, but not limited to, PPT presentations, data visualization, scientific posters.
- Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft PPT.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking and working to tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a drive to exceed customer expectations/push creative boundaries.
- A creative approach to problem-solving and an open-minded attitude.
- Enthusiasm for learning new skills and software.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent with a proven creative portfolio.
