Are you an accomplished Executive Assistant, with experience of working with executive leadership and the Board of Trustees, who takes real pride in your profession and gets genuine satisfaction from bringing clarity, momentum and excellence to a busy environment? Do you thrive on being the trusted right hand to the CEO or another senior leader—anticipating what they need, staying one step ahead and enabling them to lead at their best? Do you love operating at the heart of an organisation, where your judgement, discretion and ability to connect the dots make a real difference to senior leadership and Board effectiveness?

Open Doors is a Christian charity looking to recruit active, practicing Christians to stand in the GAP (give, act, pray) on behalf of persecuted Christians worldwide. Every day, millions of Christians risk their lives to follow Jesus. In more than 70 countries, Open Doors supports them by supplying Bibles, providing emergency relief and helping persecuted believers stand strong for the long-term.

We are looking for a highly organised, proactive and professional Executive Assistant to provide exceptional support to our Chief Executive Officer, Leadership Team and Board of Trustees. This is more than an administrative role – it is an opportunity to become a trusted partner, ensuring our leaders are equipped to focus on delivering our mission and strategic priorities.

As the Executive Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating executive activities, supporting governance processes, managing complex schedules and building strong relationships with colleagues, Trustees and external stakeholders. You will handle highly confidential information with discretion and provide seamless executive support that enables effective decision-making across the organisation.

If this sounds like you, we have an exciting opportunity to bring your experience and expertise to a role at the heart of Open Doors UK & Ireland, supporting our CEO, Leadership Team and Board of Trustees in service of a mission that matters. You will have the opportunity to use your God-given character and talents to contribute to the work of Open Doors and to work with integrity and with purpose.

We offer a flexible role with a good work-life balance, huge job satisfaction and employee benefits. You will work with some inspirational people and there are plenty of opportunities to develop your career. We welcome applications from candidates of different backgrounds.

*There is an occupational requirement under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 for this post to be held by an active, practising Christian who assents to our statement of faith.
