We are very excited to share that we have a position available for a Multimedia Account Executive. Taking on the role of multichannel storytelling, the successful candidate will have a passion for creating content that captures attention, encourages engagement, resonates with audiences and supports headlines.
Joining Open Communications, a small yet perfectly formed team based at Tileyard North in Wakefield, you will have ambition to turn creative briefs into compelling content that can be shared across platforms. This role is ideal for a creative that wants to make their mark, working together with an experienced PR team that are focused on delivering exceptional results for a portfolio of clients across both B2B and B2C markets.
The role of a Multimedia Account Executive:
A Multimedia PR Account Executive will be expected to work across multiple accounts β both B2B and B2C. Activities will include supporting with the planning and implementation of relevant multiplatform storytelling. Primarily, this will focus on developing content to support campaigns, while also maintaining ongoing press office requirements, such as social media schedules, collating results and sharing with clients.
Duties and tasks will include:
- Manage and monitor social media accounts for clients across platforms including (yet not exclusive to) Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok.
- Draft social media schedules ensuring the content is relevant, uses the correct language and tone of voice, and will deliver against the objectives of each client.
- Produce multichannel media content in a variety of formats to be shared across channels including online screen and social video-sharing platforms.
- Use design skills to create visual assets (static and video) to support social media schedules, presentations and communications for clients each month.
- Produce and edit content using Adobe Premier Pro.
- Ensure all visuals follow brand guidelines where available.
- Develop style guides for clients that evolve over time to provide a consistent visual representation for each brand.
- Capture content for Open Communications to be shared across channels and used within presentations.
- Arrange monthly meetings with clients.
- Plan an agenda for each meeting.
- Make notes and draft contact reports either for internal use or to be shared with clients.
- Create detailed monthly reports to provide clients with a clear understanding of channel performance.
- Provide insightful rationale for performance with recommendations on next steps.
- Present results in a format preferred by the client.
- Review clientsβ competitor activity taking influence from what does and does not work.
- Maintain a good understanding of trends within the client marketplace and any significant changes and consider how this can be presented visually across channels.
- Attend client events and industry shows.
- Attend sessions with the wider team to develop ideas and creative responses for client activity and PR campaigns.
- Share insight including links to articles and examples with the agency team that will add value to the business and also the clients it works with.
- Maintain an understanding of AI and where appropriate use relevant tools to support with tasks.
Required skills:
At a basic level a Multimedia Account Executive should have the skills required to produce multichannel media content using the video equipment and software available to them. They should have excellent attention to detail, be aware of the settings and surroundings, and able to make recommendations about what will and will not work for each piece of content required. They will have the skills needed to capture, edit and post content across channels.
Time and task management are an essential part of the role; it is the responsibility of the Multimedia Account Executive to work across multiple clients and to ensure that schedules of activity are actioned in a timely and well thought out manner. Working directly with clients, the successful candidate will communicate confidently and effectively with clients, building relationships over time.
