About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Visual Designer to elevate how Open Bionics shows up across marketing, product launches, digital campaigns, website pages, brochures, product education, sales materials, and brand touchpoints. This role is for a designer who can make advanced bionic technology feel clear, modern, human, and desirable. The work will span brand, digital, web, print, product marketing, and 3D product visualisation. The goal is not simply to produce assets. It is to raise the quality and consistency of our visual identity so every touchpoint feels polished, useful, and unmistakably Open Bionics.
A major focus will be product-led visual design. This includes product renders, feature graphics, launch visuals, campaign systems, landing page layouts, brochure design, diagrams, clinician-facing materials, patient-facing guides, sales collateral, and paid media creative. The role also includes setting creative direction for specialist production. For photography, video, animation, or advanced rendering projects, you will shape the brief, guide the creative approach, and partner with external specialists to deliver work that is accurate, on-brand, and ready for use across marketing channels.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the visual design of product launches, campaigns, landing pages, website sections, paid ads, brochures, sales materials, event materials, and product education assets
- Evolve the Open Bionics visual identity so our digital, print, product, and commercial materials feel more consistent, premium, and design-led
- Build campaign systems that can flex across web, paid media, social, email, PR, print, and sales enablement
- Design landing pages and web visuals that make the product easier to understand and help improve conversion
- Create product renders, product graphics, feature diagrams, launch visuals, and 3D visual assets for marketing and education
- Turn technical product information into simple, compelling visuals for patients, clinicians, partners, and internal teams
- Partner with Product Marketing on launch materials, product explainers, feature visuals, clinical materials, patient materials, and commercial updates
- Partner with the Content & Campaigns Manager to bring customer stories and campaign ideas to life across social, paid, web, email, PR, and events
- Design brochures, flyers, guides, manuals, quick-start materials, presentations, and other printed or digital support materials
- Develop reusable templates, asset libraries, and design guidelines that help the team move faster without lowering the standard
- Improve paid media creative by developing clearer product visuals, stronger design systems, and more useful asset variations
- Brief and direct photographers, videographers, animators, render artists, illustrators, and other creative contractors when specialist support is needed
- Review external creative work for brand consistency, product accuracy, visual quality, accessibility, and campaign fit
- Prepare clean, accurate, production-ready files for web, print, paid media, events, presentations, and internal use
- Use AI-supported tools where they help with ideation, image editing, retouching, variation, or workflow speed, while protecting product accuracy and brand quality
Qualifications Required
- 7+ years in visual design, brand design, digital design, product visualisation, or a related design discipline
- A portfolio that shows polished work across brand, web, digital campaigns, product marketing, print, and visual systems
- Excellent design fundamentals, especially layout, typography, hierarchy, composition, colour, and visual storytelling
- Ability to design across digital and print, including landing pages, paid media, social assets, presentations, brochures, guides, and sales materials
- Product visualisation skills, including product renders, 3D assets, feature graphics, diagrams, or technical product visuals
- Confidence making complex products feel simple, desirable, and easy to understand
- Familiarity with product launches, campaign rollouts, and marketing assets that need to work across multiple channels
- High attention to detail across typography, spacing, image selection, accessibility, file setup, and final delivery
- Fluency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
- Working knowledge of Blender, KeyShot, Cinema 4D, or similar 3D/rendering tools
- Ability to manage several design projects at once in a lean, fast-moving team
- Clear communication with marketing, product, clinical, commercial, and external creative partners
