Role Specification: We are recruiting for a Production Technician to join our fantastic team!

  • Role Type: Permanent, Full Time
  • Hours: 37.5 per week
  • Location: Onsite- Programme, Tower Lane, Bristol, BS1 2NB
  • Reports to: Production Manager

Do you have technical manufacturing skills? In this role, you will quickly be integrated into our production team who make and assemble our products. We will provide you with a training plan so you become competent in creating Hero Arms® and manufacture products to the highest quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assembly of product including Hero RGD/PRO, MyoPods, Hero Arm, Hero Flex, Hero Gauntlet and other new prosthetic products and accessories
  • Manufacturing parts, sub assemblies and final assembly of products
  • Carrying out quality control activities throughout the assembly process
  • Using and maintaining our 3D printers
  • Processing finished items for dispatch
  • Production of Covers including Disney licensed designs
  • Work with the team to set and adhere to process timings
  • Work to achieve deadlines and production targets
  • Maintaining a tidy and efficient workshop
  • Be lean and efficient in all activities
  • Training future members of the production team
  • Working in compliance with processes and policies to achieve quality requirements

Person Scorecard

Essential:

  • Ability to maintain concentration on detailed assembly processes as well as the ability to adapt skills to prototype manufacture and small batch runs.
  • Evidence of an aptitude for making things.
  • Have an eye for detail and be quality orientated.
  • Proven experience working to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment.

Desirable (Benefit but not essential):

  • Experience of working in a workshop or production environment.
  • Ability to understand and to work on manufacturing method sheets.
  • Experience in batch assembly of mechanical devices
  • Experience in product manufacture
  • Experience in servicing and maintaining mechanical device
  • Experience in continuous improvement processes (e.g. LEAN)
