Following a recent internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity for an Orthotist to join our team in Birmingham. Delivers autonomous, patient-centred care, independently managing routine and moderately complex cases, and seeking guidance for more challenging situations.

Applies sound clinical reasoning and experience across patient groups to ensure accurate device design, fitting, and adjustment using clinical and technical skills. Contributes to audits, service evaluations and research activities with guidance as needed, supporting data collection and reflective learning.

Manages clinical equipment and resources responsibly, with awareness of cost-effectiveness and service sustainability. Maintains accurate clinical records and contributes to audits and quality improvement initiatives to support safe, effective and continuously evolving patient care.

Opcare has been delivering orthotic services in Birmingham since 2023, and this role offers a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping and enhancing service delivery. The successful candidate will work across our two sites at Birmingham Children's Hospital and The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital (this site is due to be relocated to Kings Norton Summer 2026). Across both locations, we provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient orthotic care, with the Children's Hospital also delivering regular clinics within specialist schools across the region.
