Mobile Plant & Vehicle Mechanic
As a Mobile Plant Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mobile plant equipment across various sites. You’ll enjoy the independence of working in the field, supported by a strong office and workshop team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on a range of plant equipment (excavators, Plant trailers, Telehandlers, etc.).
- Fault diagnosis using diagnostic tools and manuals.
- Conduct safety inspections and complete service reports.
- Liaise with clients and site supervisors to ensure minimal downtime.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work vehicle.
Requirements:
- Trade Qualification – Mobile Plant Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (Cert III or equivalent).
- Proven experience working with mobile plant equipment.
- Current Driver’s License (HR/MR license desirable).
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Construction White Card.
- Familiarity with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
