OCU Group is looking for motivated Fibre Cabling Engineers to join our expanding team. You\’ll be working on a range of telecoms infrastructure projects including TR&R (Test, Rod, and Rope), microduct and subduct installation, and fibre cable installation (hand pull, mechanically assisted, and blowing). We’re seeking individuals who take pride in their work, understand the importance of health and safety, and want to grow with a trusted name in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out TR&R, microduct/subduct, and fibre cable installation tasks to OCU and client standards
- Complete weekly personal admin including timesheets, vehicle checks, and equipment logs
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper use of PPE and hazard reporting
- Maintain a professional standard of workmanship with minimal supervision once trained
- Work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors
Essential Requirements:
- Valid UK Driving Licence
- Ability to pass a basic DBS check
- Willingness to travel and work away from home
- Flexibility for day or night shifts (and occasional weekends)
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic
Preferred Requirements:
- Experienced in the following tasks:
- TR&R
- Installation of subduct and microduct
- Installation of fibre cabling by hand pulling, mechanically assisted and blowing.
