We are looking for an enthusiastic Business Development Manager to help drive growth and build strong relationships with clients across infrastructure, utilities, rail, and related sectors. This is a hands-on role where you will get to make a real impact, win new business, and help shape the future of the company.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Spot new business opportunities and turn them into long-term relationships
- Build and nurture connections with clients, stakeholders, and decision-makers
- Manage the sales process from first contact through to contract award
- Prepare and deliver proposals, tenders, and presentations
- Represent the company at industry events, networking forums, and client meetings
- Keep an eye on market trends, competitor activity, and new opportunities
- Forecast sales activity and report progress against targets
- Work closely with operations and compliance teams to ensure we deliver great service
About You
- You have proven experience in business development, sales, or a commercial role
- Experience in waste management, environmental services, infrastructure, utilities, or rail would be a big plus
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Commercially minded with a results-driven attitude
- Comfortable working independently but also enjoy being part of a team
- Great at organising and managing a sales pipeline
- Full UK Driving Licence
