We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Class 1 HGV Driver to join our clients logistics team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, curtain siders and will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods. This role requires a commitment to maintaining high safety standards while ensuring customer satisfaction through reliable service.
Responsibilities
- Transport goods to various locations as per delivery schedules.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations including strapping the load.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of items for transport.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Commercial Driver, preferably with Curtain sider lorries.
- Valid HGV CE licence with a clean driving record.
- Familiarity with delivery routes and logistics operations is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with customers and team members.
Supplemental Night Out Pay of £25 per night.
