We are seeking a Property Compliance Manager to take ownership of all statutory and best practice compliance requirements across a diverse London portfolio. This includes long-lets, short-lets and entire residential blocks. The role will also own the development and scaling of our compliance offering for existing and new B2B clients, with a clear focus on commercial viability.
The successful candidate will act as our expert within this field, ensuring the portfolio remains fully compliant at all times, while implementing scalable processes to support future growth. They will be highly autonomous, solutions driven and a confident decision maker.
This role will work closely with internal maintenance operations and property teams, external contractors and landlords, building trusted relationships to manage ongoing compliance obligations in line with current regulations. They will proactively manage risk, deadlines and legislative change in England, providing clear guidance and assurance to landlords.
This opportunity is perfect for an experienced Property Manager looking to take on a new challenge. The role would require travel to London 2-3 times a month.
Key Responsibilities- Own statutory compliance across a mixed London portfolio, including long lets, short lets and residential blocks with communal areas.
- Own the development and delivery of scalable compliance across our B2B clients.
- Stay continuously up to date with changes to housing, safety and building regulations in England, proactively identifying compliance risk and providing clear reporting to relevant stakeholders.
- Manage communal and block compliance, including Fire Risk Assessments, life safety systems and follow-on actions.
- Support in the design of scalable compliance processes, ensuring clear tracking, reporting and audit readiness.
- Work closely with internal teams, external contractors and landlords to manage ongoing accountability over compliance requirements.
- Maintaining client and supplier records.
- Gas and Electrical Safety (GSC/EICR)
- Fire safety and Fire Risk Assessments
- Smoke and heat alarms, emergency lighting and communal systems
- HMO, licensing
- Short/Holiday Let regulatory requirements
3-5 years of proven Property Management experience and/or owning property compliance across residential portfolios in England. Good knowledge of communal block compliance. Confident interpreting legislation and applying it practically in an operational setting. Experience working with contractors, assessors, landlords and internal teams.
Preferred Qualifications: (Not Essential)- ARLA Propertymark, IRPM, RICS or similar professional qualification.
