This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer with experience in REACH compliance, materials and process management, industrialisation, manufacturing engineering, or continuous improvement to play a key role in supporting both product compliance and manufacturing excellence.
Responsibilities
- Support compliance with REACH, RoHS, and other applicable environmental and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and manage material compliance data and documentation.
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain material declarations, compliance certificates, and technical information.
- Assess the impact of regulatory changes on products, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Support customer enquiries relating to material compliance and environmental regulations.
- Maintain records and documentation to support customer, regulatory, and audit requirements.
- Assist with material substitution and obsolescence management programmes.
- Support the introduction of new products into manufacturing.
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure compliance and technical requirements are met.
Qualifications
- HNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent experience in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Compliance, or a related discipline.
- Experience working within aerospace, defence, automotive, electronics, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Experience with REACH, RoHS, environmental compliance, or materials management.
- Experience supporting manufacturing engineering, industrialisation, or process improvement activities.
- Understanding of REACH and environmental compliance regulations.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and industrialisation principles.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational and project coordination abilities.
