Since launching the world’s first portable wood-pellet pizza oven in 2012, Ooni has grown into an award-winning, multinational company with a product range loved by pizza makers all over the globe. As part of our plans, we’re looking for a Head of Digital Marketing to join our Global marketing team. This is a hybrid role, working 3 days per week from our office in Edinburgh.
What you’ll do:
- Strategic Leadership & Roadmap Execution
- Digital Marketing Roadmap Development: Design and execute a comprehensive digital marketing roadmap in collaboration with our third-party agency, ensuring all initiatives align with Ooni’s overarching global business goals.
- GTM & Product Launches: Serve as the digital marketing project lead for Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies for New Product Developments (NPDs), focusing on strategic planning and agency management for major launches.
- DTC Strategy & Stakeholder Management: Partner with key stakeholders to develop and own Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) sales strategies designed to deliver both immediate revenue impact and long-term sustainable growth.
- Global Media Oversight: Manage our third-party agency on a global scale to optimize media buying across both DTC and Wholesale channels.
- Budget & P&L Accountability: Take full ownership of local budget management; maintain the P&L in coordination with external & internal partners to ensure ROI.
- Affiliate & Loyalty Marketing: Drive the affiliate marketing strategy by managing incentives and nurturing both new and existing partnerships with loyalty providers.
- Attribution Modeling: Act as the internal owner of the Multi-Touch Attribution (MTA) tool and all D2C attribution efforts globally, utilizing deep technical expertise to refine modeling and reporting.
- Data Privacy & Governance: Lead the digital marketing stack’s adaptation of GDPR and CCPA practices, ensuring the highest standards of data privacy.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven track record in managing global media buying across DTC and Wholesale channels, including PPC, Social, and Programmatic.
- Experience managing affiliate networks and incentive-based loyalty programs to drive customer retention.
- Previous line management experience, with the ability to build high performance teams.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage local budgets, track ROI, and maintain a healthy P&L statement.
- The ability to translate high-level business goals into a multi-year digital execution plan.
- Previous experience managing a 3rd party agency, ensuring external partners deliver against KPIs and remain aligned with brand values.
- Strong understanding of CRM, Performance marketing and Ecommerce, and how they work together to drive D2C sales.
- Ability to communicate complex digital strategies to non-technical executives and influence DTC sales outcomes.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Understanding of GDPR and CCPA regulations, specifically regarding pixel implementation and first-party data collection.
- Deep understanding of paid media channels, such as Google Ads, Meta Business suite, DV360, Amazon DSP, Reddit Ads and others.
