We are an established restaurant in Manchester looking to elevate our culinary offering with refined and authentic Persian cuisine. We are seeking an experienced Head Chef specialising in Persian food to lead our kitchen, develop innovative dishes, and design a distinctive menu that blends authenticity with modern presentation.

Role Overview

The Head Chef will take full responsibility for menu creation, kitchen leadership, food quality, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will have extensive hands-on experience preparing traditional Persian dishes and the creativity to introduce contemporary interpretations suitable for a modern UK dining market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop a high-quality Persian menu, including starters, mains, grills, rice dishes, stews, and desserts
  • Create seasonal specials and signature dishes
  • Maintain authenticity in flavour profiles, spice balance, and cooking techniques
  • Lead and manage kitchen staff, including training and performance management
  • Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards are met at all times
  • Manage stock control, supplier relationships, and cost control
  • Maintain full compliance with UK food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Oversee kitchen operations, prep systems, and service efficiency
  • Work closely with management on menu pricing and profitability

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef specialising in Persian cuisine
  • Strong knowledge of traditional Persian cooking techniques, ingredients, and presentation
  • Experience creating and costing menus
  • Leadership and team management experience
  • Understanding of food hygiene, allergen control, and UK compliance standards
