The Team:
The Salesforce team is a crucial part of Oodle’s Engineering division. We drive the Salesforce platform and data that integrates to all of our other front-end systems. We strive to deliver a high quality on all of our Salesforce and integrated software products, in a fun and social environment. This role is based in either our London, Oxford or Manchester offices and can be worked in a hybrid manner combining in-person collaboration within the office and Finance team and remote/home working. We are incredibly inclusive and open to most adaptations to working patterns, which can be discussed during the interview process.
The Role:
A Salesforce Engineer works with the product teams to develop software products in line with the project management goals and contributes to the design and development of any work needing to be done by the team with regards to Salesforce, while ensuring that code is in line with the general ethos and approach to development of the Salesforce platform. This is a great opportunity for someone who has been working with the Salesforce Platform in a development capacity but is looking for a role where they can grow into a Subject Matter Expert in all things SF. You will be joining an organisation that uses multiple Salesforce clouds (Sales, Service, Marketing, Experience and Integration) in solutions aligned across multiple operational groups. The Salesforce technical resources operate in a guild structure where platform knowledge and shared implementations are discussed across operational program boundaries. You should have a thirst for learning and an ability to communicate proposals and solutions to both Salesforce peers and technical resources not familiar with Salesforce.
What you’ll need for this role:
- Experience developing on the Salesforce Platform using both declarative and coded solutions
- Understanding of Lightning UX and configuring Salesforce for agent efficiency, using standard Salesforce features and Lightning Components
- Experience using a development IDE such as VSCode or IntelliJ
- Experience using Git or an equivalent source control system
- Experience in using integration technologies such as REST and SOAP
Nice-to-have skills (we’re happy to train):
- Exposure to development on Service Cloud implementations
- Exposure to development on Marketing Cloud implementations
- Exposure to Salesforce DX source format and usage of Salesforce CLI for both development and continuous integration
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II
Interview Process:
- Video Interview (30 mins) with the Head of Product
- Final Technical Interview (1 hour) with the hiring manager and a member of the team
