Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Large Scale Chemist to join our manufacturing and scale-up teams.

As a Large Scale Chemist, you will play a central role in scale-up activities, operating reactors in the 50L–100L range while working in line with company safety standards and SOPs. You will support the delivery of reliable, high-quality outputs and collaborate closely with colleagues across the business.

  • Perform kilo-scale chemistry with minimal supervision
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and housekeeping
  • Comply fully with company SOPs and training requirements

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and motivated to develop their career in large-scale and manufacturing chemistry within a regulated scientific environment. You enjoy hands-on chemistry and take pride in working safely and accurately at scale. You understand the importance of following SOPs, maintaining excellent housekeeping standards, and ensuring documentation is completed clearly, accurately, and on time. You are organised and proactive in your approach, able to manage your daily workload effectively while remaining aware of project timelines and operational priorities.

  • Degree-qualified in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline
  • Solid understanding of chemical techniques and laboratory practices
  • Ability to carry out more advanced processes (e.g. gas reactions, air-sensitive work) with appropriate training and support
  • Exposure to scale-up, manufacturing, or pilot-plant environments
  • Experience working within SOP-driven or regulated laboratory settings
