Are you a Process Control Engineer looking to work with cutting‑edge automation, digitalisation and advanced control technologies within a global manufacturing environment? This is a technically varied role within a specialist R&D Process Control team, responsible for developing, deploying and supporting advanced process control and inspection systems used across international manufacturing operations. You will be involved from concept through to implementation, working on systems critical to product quality, efficiency and safety.

The role offers exposure to SCADA development, PLC programming and advanced control techniques including PID, AI and machine learning. You will work closely with R&D and production teams, delivering practical engineering solutions while continuously improving existing systems. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys problem‑solving, innovation and working on technically challenging projects within a forward‑thinking environment.

The Role

  • Design, develop and implement industrial process control systems
  • SCADA development and PLC programming
  • Apply advanced control techniques from PID to AI‑based solutions
  • Develop and support inspection and measurement systems
  • Provide on‑site and remote technical support, including system upgrades
  • Occasional overseas travel

The Person

  • 2:1 degree or above in an engineering‑related discipline
  • Experience within industrial process control environments
  • Knowledge of electrical and electronic design
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
  • Confident communicator and team player
  • Well organised with good project and time management skills
