Our Client is an International Bank with its European Head Office based in the City London. The Support team operates a rota to cover core hours from 7.30 am to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Desktop Support to around 130 users across several European countries, with the bulk in the City London.
- Hardware builds for PCs and servers, software installations and upgrades.
- Login permissions and training users on software usage.
- Documenting and following up on all issues and problems raised by users to ensure resolution within the support team.
- Work with a range of Cisco and Microsoft platforms.
Required Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Cisco (firewalls, switches, routing protocols, multi-layer switches and routers including the 6500 series).
- Cisco certifications, ideally CCNP and CSM.
- VLAN segregation and centralised authentication services (AAA).
- Security tools: McAfee HIPS, Trend Micro, McAfee IPS, SafeNet Ethernet Encryptor, RADIUS / RSA, Tripwire.
- Knowledge of Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper.
- Understanding of VLAN segregation, DMZ, VSS, failover, OSPF, high availability.
- Security certifications (advantageous).
