Excellent rates available. Must have active DV Clearance. This role will take ownership of aligning engineering delivery into a scalable and consistent operating model across a complex multi supplier environment. The successful candidate will combine strong engineering governance capability with technical awareness across enterprise technology environments. Working as part of the customer Design Authority, the role will focus on engineering standards, tooling strategy, governance and delivery methodology alignment across the programme lifecycle and future BAU operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Own engineering process, governance, tooling strategy and engineering standards across the programme.
- Define and embed engineering lifecycle processes across software, infrastructure, platform and service management components.
- Align delivery methodologies across multiple workstreams using SAFe, Agile and Scrum principles.
- Ensure engineering delivery aligns with ITIL best practice and supports long term BAU operations.
- Lead engineering governance across suppliers to ensure delivery consistency and quality assurance.
- Define engineering automation tooling strategy and support adoption across teams.
- Provide strategic engineering direction aligned to programme and customer objectives.
- Attend Design Authority meetings and contribute to engineering and technology strategy.
- Lead the Engineering Community of Practice and support capability development.
- Drive automation adoption and engineering maturity improvements.
Mandatory Skills and Experience
- Experience operating within Design Authority or enterprise engineering governance environments.
- Proven experience implementing SAFe, Agile and Scrum delivery methodologies across large programmes.
- Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks within live operational environments.
- Experience across cloud, infrastructure, networks, platforms and support services.
- Experience defining engineering standards, governance frameworks and lifecycle processes.
- Strong stakeholder management across suppliers, engineering teams and senior customer stakeholders.
- Experience leading engineering transformation within complex programmes.
- Strong understanding of engineering automation tooling and delivery enablement.
- Comfortable operating within secure or highly regulated environments.
