In this role, you will focus on the flat glass forming and annealing processes while supporting wider innovation in decarbonisation, process improvements, and new product development. You will combine hands-on site work with analytical and theoretical project involvement, collaborating closely with teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Sustainability. The work is varied, fast-paced, and at the forefront of technological progress in the industry.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive, technically minded individual who thrives in problem-solving environments and enjoys applying science or engineering expertise to real-world challenges. You will be adaptable, eager to learn, and ready to travel at short notice to support global operations when needed.

The Role
  • Develop and support flat glass forming and annealing technologies.
  • Contribute to wider initiatives in decarbonisation, manufacturing efficiency, and product innovation.
  • Provide technical support for production challenges and capital engineering projects (e.g. plant start-ups).
  • Work collaboratively across multiple internal teams and international sites.
  • Potential to have to travel overseas at short notice.
Qualifications
  • Degree qualified in Science or Engineering with a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience.
  • Strong practical and theoretical understanding of forming and annealing processes.
  • Excellent organisational, IT, and presentation skills.
  • Confident communicator with strong problem-solving and influencing skills.
  • Project management experience advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel (UK and international).
