Senior Developer with Openlink's Findur, SQL and Java, providing application support for Treasury applications in the City of London.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, support, and maintain Treasury application systems using MS SQL Server and Openlink's Findur treasury system.
  • Ensure the integrity, security, and accuracy of the production database environment and maintain optimal performance for dependent applications.
  • Plan and implement operating procedures for database backup and recovery.
  • Develop database‐related application standards covering creation, software placement, storage, and auditing.
  • Maintain and test the recovery system, ensuring its integrity at all times.
  • Develop and enhance database procedures to support the application suite.
  • Respond to, resolve, and document support calls for production and test applications.
  • Produce high‑standard documentation for database build, maintenance, and operational procedures.
  • Act as the technical liaison between database operations and vendor support.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 2 to 5 years of solid experience as an MS SQL Server DBA (2005/2008) with Java development and support.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise Edition and high‑level T‑SQL programming (stored procedures, functions, triggers).
  • Operation, design, and implementation experience with mirroring, log shipping, and SQL Server replication.
  • Maintenance and tuning of SQL Reporting Services and Analysis Services.
  • Good understanding of a WINTEL environment with AD domain and user administration.
  • Experience with OpenLink Findur Treasury Application and scripting language AVS is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of change management concepts and application configuration, clustered database servers, external storage, scripting stored procedures, and database security concepts.
