We are currently hiring for individuals with a strong work ethic and desire to creatively and actively apply themselves within our Direct Trading team. We’re looking for candidates with the following:

  • 1-2 years experience in a broking role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Natural passion for relationship building and client interaction
  • Able to work individually and within a team in a competitive, target-driven environment
  • Demonstrable interest in energy and financial markets
  • Proficiency in a second language would be beneficial

Job Responsibilities:

  • Research and map potential new clients to originate new business leads and translate leads into sales (our clients are primarily oil traders and risk management teams in trading companies, investment banks, hedge funds, industrial end users, refineries, petrochemical and chemical producers, oil, gas and metal producers, utility companies, transport companies).
  • Be trained in understanding what OCL services consist of and what value they provide.
  • Support pre-existing accounts' contracts and explore opportunities to upsell and grow the account.
  • Generate strong relationships through a consultative sales approach, most often from highly targeted cold calling after thorough research of prospective companies.
  • Help with OTC deal executions.
  • Work with the traders on research, development, and implementation of new trading strategies.
  • The role requires a high degree of customer-facing socialising and relationship-building in and out of standard working hours.
