About the role:
We are looking for a M&E Project Manager on a permanent basis to join our Asset and Investment team. The successful candidate can be based at any of our three office locations (Liverpool, Manchester, Accrington) but work will be required across the region. The purpose of the role is to deliver end-to-end project management of Mechanical and Electrical contracts, contributing to asset improvement strategies across the association’s property. This role is ideal for candidates with proven experience managing a diverse range of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) projects across large, mixed housing portfolios. The successful applicant will oversee assets including CHP systems, air conditioning, fire alarms, emergency lighting, CCTV, passenger lifts, stair lifts, and warden call systems.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Taking account of long-term maintenance needs, plan, develop and project manage bespoke Mechanical and Electrical projects including heating systems, electrical upgrades, lifts, and renewable technologies. Working in conjunction with other directorates across the business providing commercial solutions to address poor performing assets.
- Stakeholder Management: Maintain strong stakeholder consultation and management, including planning, communication and progress updates and working collaboratively with colleagues in asset management, housing operations, finance, customers and external key stakeholders to deliver joined-up services at a project level.
- Surveys and Project Appraisal: Working closely with specialist consultants, support and undertake high quality dilapidation/diagnostic surveys across residential and commercial properties providing detailed project appraisals and technical advice on condition and investment requirements. Validate identified investment requirements and ensure investment is in line with the Asset Management Strategy.
- Investment Planning: Support the investment programme in line with Onward and Regulatory standards, including the development of comprehensive detailed specifications that will ensure effective delivery whilst working in collaboration with External Consultants, Procurement, Landlord Compliance, Capital Delivery and Repairs and Maintenance Teams considering whole life maintenance, and innovative solutions where applicable. Keep up-to-date with industry regulations, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance service delivery.
- Health and Safety: Be responsible for health and safety and compliance with legislative requirements including CDM for all Mechanical and Electrical Projects activities across the Group and support the wider directorate in knowledge and expertise.
