The purpose of the role is to ensure that Onward Repairs delivers a safe, quality, efficient, responsive repairs and void maintenance service. Manage the delivery of your section, including supervising and organising the Teams to complete works on time. Carry out Void, Day to Day, work in progress and post inspections to ensure quality repairs are carried out.
Job Responsibilities:
- Delivery: Supervising and organising the Responsive Repairs/Voids Team and supply chain to deliver the work required. Carry out Pre-termination and Void inspections.
- Financial: Ensure key operational and financial targets are achieved in line with the aims of the business.
- Resources: Directly managing productivity and IT systems to ensure the effective use of all resources.
- Quality: Undertake effective quality control and quality assurance on the work carried out, utilising work in progress and post inspections.
- Health and Safety: Ensure safe methods of working are adopted and the Responsive Repairs / Voids & Adaptations Teams are suitably qualified and trained to deliver the work required.
- Value for Money: Implement new streams of business or operational areas to ensure maximum value for money for Onward Homes.
- Line Management & Leadership: Provide line management and leadership to the team, managing resources to ensure that objectives are achieved.
- Partnership Working: Ensure collaborative working to deliver required service levels across the region. Work effectively with the Contact Centre and other internal service areas to deliver customer service.
Skills/Experience:
- Essential: Proven ability to supervise and manage Responsive repairs and Void operatives to deliver a quality customer-centred repairs service. Experience of the management of a similar construction trade-based maintenance business. Commercial knowledge and understanding. Ability to effectively supervise productivity, and resource/work-planning. Ability to supervise an effective supply chain. Previous Trade background.
- Desirable: Knowledge of work planning and repairs IT systems.
Qualifications:
- Essential: Relevant Health and Safety qualification and/or experience. City and Guilds craft certificate within a trade discipline or equivalent. Appropriate CSCS card.
- Desirable: ONC/HNC building qualification or Equal and Relevant Qualification. Recognised Trade Qualification.
