Job Title: Cleaning Operative
We are seeking a Cleaning Operative to work across multiple sites in Lancashire, responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness in community areas and properties. A full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities
- General cleaning duties at residential schemes, flats, and communal areas, following the operational cleaning specification and quality assurance schedules.
- Carry out allocated ad‑hoc cleaning tasks and use internal software to record work.
- Remove discarded syringes and needles and handle hazardous substances only when trained.
- Order and restock cleaning supplies and sundries as needed.
- Use cleaning materials in accordance with COSHH and wear appropriate PPE.
- Perform health‑and‑safety checks (water flushing, temperature checks, fire alarm testing) and report any repairs needed.
- Conduct daily van and equipment checks and carry out minor maintenance (e.g., light bulbs).
- Attend required training courses and seminars.
Essential Requirements
- Experience delivering cleaning services to diverse customers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, following instructions.
- Proficiency with cleaning methods and equipment (mopping, dusting, wiping, buffing).
- Strong organisational skills to prioritise and complete tasks on time.
- Willingness to cover various duties across different areas as requested.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Good customer service and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to follow procedures and record operational performance data.
Desirable
- Experience using electronic equipment such as smartphones or iPads.
- Experience carrying out facility checks such as water testing and alarm testing.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of hygiene regulations.
- Knowledge of COSHH regulations.
Desirable Qualifications
- Hygiene certificate.
- BICS certification.
