The predicted salary is between 43900 - 43900 £ per year.

Purpose of Role
To lead the effective management of Fire Safety compliance across our properties, ensuring all fire detection, alarm and associated life safety systems are fully compliant, maintained to a high standard, and reduce risk to customers, colleagues and third parties.
Working Arrangements
This is a hybrid role, with an expectation to work from our Liverpool office on Mondays and Tuesdays, alongside travel across our North West properties as required. You will regularly attend sites to oversee inspections, servicing and remedial works, working closely with contractors to ensure fire safety systems are maintained and compliant.
Key Responsibilities
- Fire Servicing, Testing & Inspection
- You will oversee contractors to ensure all fire safety systems are tested, maintained and fully operational. This includes:
- Fire alarm systems and control panels – ensuring panels operate correctly, display accurate information and respond to alarms
- Detection systems – testing smoke, heat and other detectors to confirm they activate and signal correctly
- Manual call points – verifying alarms trigger when activated and report correctly by location/zone
- Alarm devices – checking sounders and visual alarms are audible, visible and effective across buildings
- Power supplies and backup systems – ensuring systems remain operational in the event of power failure
- Associated safety systems (cause & effect) – confirming fire alarms correctly trigger linked safety features such as:
- Fire door releases
- Smoke ventilation systems
- Lift grounding (where applicable)
- Monitoring and communications – ensuring signals are transmitted correctly to any monitoring systems
- You will ensure:
- All servicing and inspection regimes are fit for purpose and compliant
- Remedial actions are identified and delivered on a risk‑prioritised basis
- All certification, logbooks and records are accurate, validated and up to date
- Contract Management
- Manage fire safety contractors to deliver high-quality servicing and maintenance
- Set and monitor performance standards and KPIs
- Challenge performance and resolve issues to ensure compliance and value for money
- Data & Compliance Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all:
- Testing, inspection and servicing activities
- Defects and remedial works
- Ensure a robust audit trail to support compliance with regulatory requirements
- Performance & Reporting
- Translate fire safety strategy into clear objectives and KPIs
- Produce management information and reports for Boards and Committees
- Provide assurance on compliance performance and risk position
- Collaborative Working
- Support the development of Fire and Landlord Compliance strategies
- Work closely with Repairs & Maintenance teams to:
- Coordinate responsive and planned works
- Ensure fire safety is embedded in all building activity
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant fire safety legislation
- Support delivery of fire safety training and awareness across the organisation
- Promote a strong safety culture across teams and contractors
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Essential
- Experience managing fire safety servicing, testing or compliance programmes
- Strong understanding of fire detection and alarm systems and associated safety equipment
- Experience managing contractors and driving performance
- Knowledge of housing regulation and compliance requirements
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and inform decisions
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of construction contracts and commercial drivers
- Understanding of CDM Regulations 2015
- Experience of housing / asset management systems
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable
- Intermediate IT skills (Microsoft Office)

- NEBOSH General Certificate / IOSH Managing Safely
- BOHS P402, P405 or P406
