Your Mission
As a Senior Sales Executive, you will play a pivotal role in driving Ontinue’s expansion across the UK mid‑market and enterprise segment. This is a high‑impact, net‑new business role focused on acquiring new customers and expanding Ontinue’s presence within the UK cybersecurity market. You will leverage your experience selling cybersecurity or managed services solutions to identify opportunities, engage senior decision‑makers, and position Ontinue’s MXDR and Managed Detection & Response services as a strategic solution to modern security challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- New Logo Acquisition
- Identify and target organisations undergoing security transformation or seeking to modernise their SOC capabilities
- Drive new customer acquisition across the UK enterprise segments
- Focus exclusively on generating net‑new revenue by expanding Ontinue’s UK customer base
- Pipeline Development & Prospecting
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline through proactive prospecting and outbound activity using a combination of:
- Cold calling and email outreach
- LinkedIn and social selling
- Industry networking and referrals
- Cybersecurity events and conferences
- Collaborate with marketing and your BDR on campaign follow‑up and lead conversion
- End-to-End Sales Ownership
- Prospecting and qualification
- Discovery and needs analysis
- Solution positioning and demonstrations
- Proposal development and commercial negotiations
- Closing and handover to the customer advisory team
- Strategic Relationship Building
- Develop strong, long‑term relationships with key stakeholders and decision‑makers
- Position Ontinue as a trusted cybersecurity partner rather than a transactional vendor
- Identify opportunities for long‑term strategic partnerships
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Marketing teams on pipeline generation initiatives
- Pre‑sales engineers on technical discovery and demonstrations
- Leadership on territory strategy and forecasting
- Provide feedback to internal teams on customer needs and market dynamics
What Success Looks Like
- Build a strong and consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities
- Successfully close net‑new logo customers in the UK
- Develop strong relationships with senior cybersecurity leaders
- Position Ontinue as a trusted MXDR partner within the UK market
- Contribute directly to the growth of Ontinue’s UK business
Essential Experience
- Proven track record in new business sales within cybersecurity, managed security services, or managed IT services
- Experience selling into mid‑market and enterprise organisations
- Demonstrated ability to prospect, build pipeline, and close complex deals
- Experience engaging with C‑level executives and senior IT/security leaders
- Strong understanding of value‑based and consultative selling methodologies
Industry Knowledge
- Strong interest in cybersecurity and digital transformation
- Familiarity with Security Operations (SOC), MDR, XDR, or MXDR services
- Understanding of modern cloud‑based security platforms and services
Personal Attributes
- A hunter mindset with strong drive, resilience, and competitiveness
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business‑relevant value
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast‑growth environment
Language & Location
- Fluent in English
- Based in the United Kingdom
- Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally across Europe for customer meetings and industry events
Preferred Experience
- Experience selling Microsoft security solutions, including Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, or related services
- An established professional network within the UK cybersecurity or IT leadership community
- Experience selling SOC‑as‑a‑Service, MDR, or managed security services
- Familiarity with Microsoft’s security ecosystem
- A passion for continuous learning and staying current with cybersecurity trends and technologies
- Understanding and prior use of Force Management as a sales methodology is a big plus
