Overview
Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, are now recruiting as a result of an internal promotion a Value Stream Lead to join our team. This role will be based at our Staverton site.

The Role
Reporting to the Head of Programmes, the Value Stream Leader is responsible for managing a portfolio of customer relationships, maximising customer satisfaction and delivering on financial commitments. Manages a team and coordinates all activity within the Company in relation to specific customers and programmes, while keeping the customer informed and devising appropriate Customer Management Plans.
Main Responsibilities
- Propose and maintain a clear medium and long-term strategy for identified customers and their respective product lines within the Value Stream.
- Coordinate pricing, RFQs and RFPs, with the support of the Sales team and Revenue Management team, to ensure maximum value creation across every aspect of the business.
- Proactively resolve customer complaints and problems and escalate as necessary in support of building and maintaining high levels of Customer Engagement.
- Analyse the market and commercial activity to ensure the inventory levels and lead times are appropriate to meet customer requirements and provide opportunities.
- Monitor order in-load, on-time delivery, and operational performance to ensure successful execution.
- Provide forecasts of customer demand for products into business planning (SIOP).
- Contribute to developing broader business strategies, budgets, and performance reviews.
- Attend regular meetings as required to support tasks.
- Build strong long-term relationships with customers. Coordinate and participate in meetings and reviews between Ontic and the customer.
- Support the business on specific programme and project management activities as required.
- Measure customer activity based on business information systems and relay to customer through the customer management plan.
- Management and presentation of weekly forecasting of financials for the month, quarter, and FY.
- Management of direct margin (DM) accuracy and forecasting, along with identifying opportunities for DM improvement for the value stream.
- Allocate customer and programmes to appointed value stream personnel.
- Action line-management responsibilities for personnel in the value stream.

- PC and office software skills essential (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and project management tools).
- Sound business and financial acumen.
- Experience in managing aerospace or industrial projects or contracts.
- Experience in working with operations, supply chain, quality, marketing and trade compliance to coordinate purchase orders, contracts, and long-term agreements.
