Integrated Management System Lead
Gloucestershire | IMS Compliance | Onsite with UK travel
Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, are now recruiting for an Integrated Management System Lead to join our IMS Compliance team where you’ll support us in ensuring compliance and continuous improvement across our IMS system. This role will be based between our Bishops Cleeve and Staverton locations, with regular travel across UK sites.
Ontic is more than just a business, we’re a community of innovators who pride ourselves on fostering a culture where talent thrives, ideas flourish, and careers are built. We’re committed to excellence, driving us to continuously improve and adapt, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of our industry.
The Role:
As an IMS Lead, you’ll play a key role in ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards, including Part 145, HSE and ISO frameworks. Working under the direction of the Head of IMS Compliance, you’ll support the effective implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of the Integrated Management System.
You’ll lead and support audit activity across sites, including planning, execution, reporting and follow-up, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements. Through this, you’ll identify trends in non-conformance, support root cause and corrective action processes, and drive improvements to ensure processes and procedures align with operational practice.
Acting as the IMS focal point for your site, you’ll work closely with operational teams and auditors to provide guidance on compliance requirements, support regulatory audits, and ensure changes to processes are effectively managed and embedded. You’ll also provide regular reporting on IMS performance, highlighting risks, trends and opportunities for improvement across the business.
This is a highly visible role requiring strong collaboration, attention to detail and the ability to influence across functions, with a focus on maintaining high standards and supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
About you:
At Ontic, our culture is integral to making sure we enjoy our work and deliver for our customers. While we look for the right skillset, we’re also looking for someone who will thrive within our recognition and empowerment culture.
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring experience working within a regulated engineering or manufacturing environment, ideally within aerospace. You’ll have a strong understanding of audit processes and compliance frameworks, with Lead Auditor certification to ISO9001/AS9100 standards as a minimum.
You’ll be confident leading audits, identifying non-conformances and supporting corrective actions using structured problem-solving approaches. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements are essential.
You’ll be an effective communicator, able to engage with stakeholders at all levels, provide clear guidance, and influence improvements across the business. Experience with quality systems and tools such as Q-Pulse or similar, along with strong IT skills, will also be important.
A technical qualification at Level 4/5 (or equivalent experience) is expected, along with a flexible approach to travel and working hours in line with business needs.
