Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, is recruiting for an MRO Hydraulic Test Technician to join our Operations team. You will support the testing and validation of hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical assemblies to the highest aviation standards. This role will be based across our Staverton and Tewkesbury sites, with flexibility to travel between locations as required.
As an MRO Hydraulic Test Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the performance, safety and compliance of components before they are released. Working from detailed instructions and specifications, you will carry out testing of hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical assemblies using dedicated test equipment, recording results and maintaining full traceability throughout the process. You will also be responsible for fault finding, strip‑down and repair of components, supporting wider engineering and quality investigations where required. Working closely with teams across Operations, Quality and Engineering, you will help resolve issues efficiently to support on‑time delivery.
This is a hands‑on role where attention to detail is essential, as you will be working to tight tolerances and strict aviation standards, while maintaining accurate records and ensuring all work complies with company procedures and health and safety requirements.

You will have a high level of attention to detail and be comfortable working to tight tolerances and deadlines, with the ability to carry out fault finding and support repair activities. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential, as you will collaborate with multiple functions to resolve issues and maintain workflow. An apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience would be advantageous, along with any exposure to electrical systems or hydraulic testing environments.
